Although locally a common bird throughout much of Eastern Europe, often nesting in villages and at roadsides, White Storks seldom fail to capture the attention of visiting birders. Despite trips often focusing on finding specialities and people's 'lifers', time is usually found to stop, observe and photograph these wonderful birds. Photo of a White Stork on its huge chimney-top nest taken in Hungary by Gerard Gorman.
