European Bee-eaters (Merops apiaster) are one of Europe's most colourful and 'exotic' bird species. This one is in Hungary where there are many colonies, and this year seem to be doing very well.

We just guided a birding group from the UK in South Moravia, the Czech Republic. The main target for everyone was Wallcreeper... so we and this wonderful stunner obliged!
